Invariant mass distribution for neutral pion and $\eta$ meson candidates at intermediate (left) and high (right) transverse momenta reconstructed with both photons in the \gls{EMCal} in pp collisions at \sthirteen\ using the \gls{EMCal} \gls{L1} trigger sample. The combinatorial background is described using the rotation background technique. For the higher \pT\ slice only the $\eta$ meson invariant mass window is shown as the \piz\ meson cannot be reconstructed using the \gls{EMC} invariant mass technique at these momenta. Invariant mass distribution for neutral pion candidates at low (left) and high (right) transverse momenta reconstructed using the \gls{PCM-EMC} technique in pp collisions at \sthirteen\ using the minimum bias and \gls{EMCal} \gls{L1} trigger sample. The combinatorial background is described using the mixed-event background technique.
