Measurement of non-prompt D$_{s}^{+}$ meson production in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02 $ TeV

Description

The first measurement of the non-prompt D$_{s}^{+}$ nuclear modification factor ($R_{AA}$) in central (0-10%) Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02$ TeV using the data sample collected during LHC Run 2 (Nov. 2018) is reported. The $R_{AA}$ at central rapidity ($|y|<$0.5) is measured in the range $4<p_{T}<36$ GeV/$c$, exploiting a machine-learning multi-class classification algorithm for the selection of the strange D mesons coming from beauty-hadron decays.
