Performance of the event-by-event constituent subtraction method on the residual pT distribution in embedded PYTHIA with SD z=0.2 for different Rmax values

The left shows mean of the $(p_{T}^{rec} - p_{T}^{det})/p_{T}^{rec}$ distribution in Pythia 8 embedded into 30-50% Pb-Pb data after event-by-event constituent subtraction fo different $R_{max}$ values in the coors. The distributions are for $R=0.4$ charged jets between 40-120 GeV/c with a Soft Drop grooming condition of $z_{cut}=0.2$ applied. The right shows a projection of the $(p_{T}^{rec} - p_{T}^{det})/p_{T}^{rec}$ distribution for jets between 40-120 GeV/c for the same $R_{max}$ values.
