Comparison of the hardest $k_{\mathrm{T,g}}$ jet splitting found using soft drop with z_cut = 0.4, beta = 0 for R = 0.2 jets in pp, 0-10% PbPb and 30-50% PbPb collisions at 5 TeV. The range of the semi-central PbPb is determined by requiring sufficient subjet purity and kinematic efficiency. The z_cut enables a larger kt range. Within uncertainties (which are larger for this grooming method due to the phase space reduction due to the z cut), we see an overall modification of the measured $k_{\mathrm{T,g}}$ relative to pp in central PbPb
