The value of Σ in MC HIJING and MC EPOS simulations of Pb–Pb at √sNN = 5.02 TeV. Results are plotted as a function of
the pseudorapidity gap ∆η for centrality class 0-10%. Results for MC HIJING  were obtained for centrality selection via V0, while for MC EPOS via impact parameter.

 

Note: the centrality estimator is not marked explicitly in the figure because it is known that Σ is a strongly intensive quantity and therefore remains independent on the centrality estimator (see also Fig. ALI-PREL-305604 and Fig. ALI-SIMUL-305884, or AN https://alice-notes.web.cern.ch/node/676 for more details).
