Subleading prong residual for R=0.4 for various grooming algorithms. PYTHIA events are embedded into 0-10% central Pb-Pb data, and PYTHIA jets (truth-level and detector-level) are matched to PYTHIA+PbPb det-level jets. Grooming is then performed, and the subleading and leading prongs are identified in the PYTHIA det-level jet as well as the matched PYTHIA+PbPb jet. The PYTHIA+PbPb leading prong is then matched to the PYTHIA det-level subleading prong if it contains >50% of the PYTHIA det-level subleading prong (by pt). The residual is defined as the geometrical difference between PYTHIA+PbPb subleading prong and the PYTHIA det-level subleading prong, for those cases where the PYTHIA det-level subleading prong is tagged in the PYTHIA+PbPb leading prong.
