Background fluctuations estimated using random cones with R=0.4 in p-Pb collisions at  $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02$ TeV. A random direction in the eta-phi plane is thrown, the momenta of all particles contained in a cone of radius R=0.4, excluding the leading jet,  are summed together and the background density contained within the cone is subtracted. Events with D*  - charged jets candidates are used with a requirement of the leading jet p_{\rm T} in an event to be greater than 5 GeV/c.

LHC16q and LHC16t (pass 1) FAST and  CENT_woSDD run periods, used trigger is kINT7. The anti-k_{T} algorithm (with R = 0.4) used to reconstruct the D*-charged jets.
