Difference between opposite- and same-sign (baryon number) $\Xi-\rm K$ (top left), $\Xi-\rm p$ (top right), $\Xi-\Lambda$ (bottom left), and $\Xi-\Xi$ correlations (bottom right), projected in $\Delta y$ in the range $|\Delta y|<1$ and $|\Delta\varphi|<3\pi/10$. The ALICE results are compared with predictions by PYTHIA 8 Monash, PYTHIA 8 Junctions Mode 0, PYTHIA 8 with rope hadronisation, and EPOS LHC. SS = same sign or baryon number, OS = opposite sign or baryon number.

Detail description

Differences between opposite-and same sign (baryon number) per-trigger yields of $\Xi-$hadron pairs (same and opposite baryon number) projected in $\Delta y$ in the range $|\Delta y|<1$, $|\Delta\varphi|<3\pi/10$ for $\Xi-\rm K$, $\Xi-\rm p$, $\Xi-\Lambda$, and $\Xi-\Xi$ correlations. These are measured from minimum-bias collisions using the pp16k+pp18bdefglmop data set, or in the case of $\Xi-\rm K$ correlations only the pp16k data set, in the $p_\mathrm{T}$ range $1.2<p_\mathrm{T}^\mathrm{trig}<12$ GeV$/c$ and $0.2<p_\mathrm{T}^\mathrm{assoc}<3$ GeV$/c$, $0.4<p_\mathrm{T}^\mathrm{assoc}<3$ GeV$/c$, $0.6<p_\mathrm{T}^\mathrm{assoc}<12$ GeV$/c$, and $1.2<p_\mathrm{T}^\mathrm{assoc}<12$ GeV$/c$, for kaons, protons, $\Lambda$ baryons, and $\Xi$ baryons, respectively, and using the full detector coverage.

Also included are comparisons to theory predictions by the PYTHIA 8 (Monash tune) and EPOS LHC event generators, which are obtained from the ALICE productions associated with the full data set, or in the case of EPOS-LHC only LHC18f1, as well as two extensions to PYTHIA 8: junctions (Mode 0 tune from arXiv:1505.01681) and rope hadronisation (tune provided by Christian Bierlich).
